45 million Americans are uninsured and millions of others are battling their HMO’s for coverage. Meanwhile, Medicare and Social Security (two of the strongest programs of our Nation) are being threatened by privatization, which would inevitably mean fewer guaranteed benefits.

The main aspects of LIPC’s Health Care Campaign include working toward Universal Health Coverage, prescription drug fairness, HMO reforms and anti-privatization of Social Security and Medicare.
