The proposed power plant is located on 96 acres North of Horseblock Road,
south of the Long Island Rail Road, and East of Old Dock Road. Between
Yaphank and Bellport.

The proposed power plant is within miles of neighborhoods in Yaphank, Bellport,
Medford, Gordon Heights, Patchogue, Hagerman, and Holtsville.

Tiny particles of pollution that will be emitted from the plant will have an impact
on air within an area several miles in circumference. This impact is
unpredictable and is mostly determined by how and where the air blows.

The proposed plant will burn natural gas year round and have the capacity to
burn fuel oil.

750,000 gallons of fuel oil will be held on the premises.

The plant will be built on an Empire Zone, this land is reserved for job creating
industries near communities with high unemployment. This plant will only
create 25 permanent jobs.

There isn’t a power plant in the world that can clean the air. Even the most
state of the art power plants adds to pollution. Caithness is no different.
